Well back in the day when life seemed simple and care free, lots of random bizarre conversations
were had with the squatter, GGN and the Dojo Clan. One of the concepts that came from the old association we where members of was how to read things.

I know  I shouldn’t, but this has to be shared with more than just  people on the his sermon list.

Things to bear in mind about the guy’s posting is

He has trained in Ninjutsu, believes he is Gnostic, an anarchist and anti structured Martial arts.  Yet has trained in many, was a weekend warrior then became a constant pupil of my teacher and myself.  Has also trained with Southnarc, the D Martin.

He is also a follower of Crowley and described him to me as,” An amazing intelligent man who would make a great dinner guest but would crap on your dinner table!!”

Finally he believes his  opinion is the correct one and all others are wrong yet he is  found wanting often, he still has congregation that listens to him and believes him..

So enough back story, please not this is a cut and paste from Facebook I have altered nothing.

September 2005 I marched, strolled through to symbolic gates Bumon and Shumon.

Some of you may shout “no the Shumon gate is not covered by a ‘Raising’”, well I say it depends on your stance and your view point which we will come back to as this may be a “twisty turny” ramble but life is journey and I have no Whiskey to sip or a speaker to perch on or group of friends chatting to mindlessly.  Great days! Last month, 14th – 15th of August to be more accurate, it was the Annual ShivWorks UK Seminar where Mr Southnarc comes over from the US to teach us about combatives. Or in layman’s term, beat the crap out of you and see if you get up for more and how not to get into trouble. Read More »

Hi

Well this is an old review from the end of August and start of September  in the year of our Lord 2006.

After a short trip to Prescott, Liverpool, Sensei and myself had arrived for the Instructional NLP course. NLP from Sensei’s lectures is Neuro-linguistic programming basically making actions a subconscious reflex or instinctive response to a perceived attack, but to achieve this state without having to do 30 years of training. Anyway as we walked through the door there was about 20-30 people milling around. After signing we had to stick a A1 sheet of paper to the wall write our name on it and our goals for the course. M.Wynne, then told everyone to imagine a line running from one corner of the room out through the doors. Take a piece of masking tape and write your name and place it along the line, where you think you are in your skills and training.

It was then time to begin, so looking at the tools that we had brought down, M.Wynne said, “grab a training blade and run through some moves.” at that point the Bongos kicked in, and a rye smile from Ian and people began do their thing. As time moved on more instructions where thrown out like “left hand, static , eyes closed, only focus on the point” all to the beat of the drum. Then a change of pace, lining up in groups of fours and then drawing a figure 8 in the air being mindful of where your training partners are as you slalom through them, again using your left and right sides. Next we had to repeat the same drill but with live blades, at which point it became a Knife lover’s fantasy, as a whole menagerie of knives appeared. So once more through the same drill a couple more times, M.Wynne then begins to explain what he is doing and why he is getting the class to do these warm up exercises. Read More »
